Getting started
How much does it cost to set up a business in the UAE?
The total cost depends on your business activity, jurisdiction, office requirement, number of visas, and whether banking or compliance support is included. Share a few details in the form above and we will prepare a tailored, itemised quote before you commit to anything.
What's the difference between a free zone and mainland company?
A mainland company is licensed by the emirate’s Department of Economy and can trade anywhere in the UAE, including with government entities. A free zone company is licensed by its free zone authority, offers 100% foreign ownership and simplified setup, but is generally limited to trading inside the free zone and internationally unless it uses a local distributor.
How long does it take to set up a company?
Many free zone licences can be issued within a few working days once documents are complete; mainland setups usually take a little longer because of name approval and external approvals for some activities. Visas, Emirates ID and bank account opening follow the licence. We give you a realistic timeline for your case during the consultation.
Can I set up a business without living in the UAE?
Yes. Most free zone and mainland companies can be formed remotely, and many steps can be completed with digital signatures and courier documents. You will usually need to visit the UAE for visa medicals, biometrics and, in most cases, bank account opening.
Documents, office & tax
What documents do I need?
Typically a passport copy for each shareholder and manager, a passport-size photo, and proof of address. Corporate shareholders need attested company documents. Some activities or jurisdictions ask for extra items such as a business plan or NOC — we send you a precise checklist for your setup.
Do I need a physical office?
It depends on the jurisdiction and the number of visas you need. Many free zones offer flexi-desk or virtual office packages, while mainland companies usually need a registered tenancy (Ejari). We match the office option to your licence and visa requirements.
What about corporate tax?
UAE Corporate Tax applies at 9% on taxable profits above AED 375,000, and every company must register with the Federal Tax Authority. Qualifying free zone companies may benefit from a 0% rate on qualifying income. We handle your registration and can connect you with accounting support for ongoing filings.
Why use a consultant instead of doing it myself?
Choosing the wrong activity, jurisdiction or office type is the most common — and most expensive — setup mistake. A consultant compares options across authorities, prepares documents correctly the first time, and follows up with each department, which saves you time and avoids costly rejections.
Visas & banking
How many visas can my company sponsor?
Visa allocation depends on the jurisdiction and, in most free zones, on the size of your office or flexi-desk package. We match the package to the number of visas you need now and in the near future.
Can I sponsor my family?
Yes. Once you hold a UAE residence visa as an investor or employee and meet the salary or income requirement, you can sponsor your spouse, children and, in some cases, parents.
Will you help me open a corporate bank account?
Yes. We prepare your company documents and introduce you to banks that suit your activity and profile. Approval is always the bank’s decision, so we help you present a complete, compliant application.
